Bon’s Fretboard Butter is a unique blend of natural oils and raw beeswax sourced locally in East Sussex, UK. This waxy butter hydrates and nourishes open grain fretboard woods such as rosewood or pau ferro.

Please note that this product is not intended for lacquered fretboards such as maple.

Simply wipe on, leave for 10 minutes, wipe off the excess and buff with a cotton cloth until a satin sheen is visible. You will be left with a rich, dark and deeper colour of fretboard, the grain will pop and ribbon in the light and most importantly your fretboard is now protected from the elements and your finger dirt!

60g Tins will last for roughly 50+ fretboard treatments.

Repeating the application process or leaving the wax on for 24 hours before wiping away the excess is recommended for achieving the best results. A microfilm layer of wax coating the fretboard is ideal for maximum protection against external moisture and finger dirt from getting back into the open grain.

This product is a 100% natural ingredient alternative to more commonly used lemon oils and fretboard conditioners that contain solvents, turpentines, and other synthetic chemicals that can actually dry out fretboard wood over time if not used regularly enough and aren’t safe on your skin (warning labels and everything). Bon’s Fretboard Butter will never dry out and is completely safe to use on skin of all types, and has nice silky feel to it.
