A little backstory for Bon:

I started my journey as a musician and guitar tinkerer 15 years ago in my teens, being lucky enough to have an amazing grandad as a woodworker and professional tinkerer who taught me so much from his loft conversion workshop, a temple of tools and sawdust. Teaching me the basics of woodworking and building, to generally being a good human being. With the skills he had taught me and my enthusiasm for guitar playing and modifying, I wangled some work experience at Wunjo Guitars on new Denmark street in London, I managed to stay on in a paid position for another 6 months where I learned the basis of my guitar repair and maintenance knowledge and still rely on it.

Fast forward some 8 years of college, Uni, Bands, Tours, Buying/selling/modifying guitars and I started working for Barefaced Audio, a speaker cabinet workshop focusing on bass/guitar. This is where I properly picked up my love of making things and working with creative materials again, learning a whole new skill set that correlated with my love of music and everything related to it. Over the past 5 years of working there, my knowledge base and interests grew even further thanks to being around a team of good people, like-minded but also extensive in ideas and information in their own fields of the music industry. Priceless knowledge and It was from this team I earned the nickname Bon, you’d have to ask them why and what it means but it stuck, I thought it was pretty funny. It has quite organically become the Name for my venture.

The whole experience of being interested in music, becoming a musician, working for a living, and doing/learning about things that I’m inclined towards has led me back to where I started, in my grandad’s loft (well my version of). Over the past 3 years, I’ve taken on all sorts of repairs and modifications for people’s instruments from my studio, with great results and happy customers.

I’m passionate about what I do and want to provide the best service possible.
